Welcome to OLAF, the Online Learning in Applied Forestry Educational Tool (OLAF) consists of a set of courses developed to assist people in understanding their resources (land and forests), as well as collecting and analyzing information on their resources. Courses are designed for private landowners, extension agents, students, educators, and foresters (public and private). Participants can register and take a single course or work through all available content. Once registered, participants will be sent an email from olaf.forestry@gmail.com to set a password. If you do not receive an email, please first check your spam folder. If you still require help logging in, email olaf.forestry@gmail.com.

Each course is free and has been approved for SAF Continuing Forestry Education (CFE) credits. More information on CFE credits is available on the course page. 

In addition to progressing through each course, you will have the opportunity to contribute to each topic. If you have expertise on land survey systems in a part of the country that is not covered in the Land Survey course, for example, use the comments section at the bottom of each topic to contribute to the course. Your comment will be sent to a moderator who will review the submission and decide if it is appropriate to include in the course content. If approved, the topic(s) will be updated to include your input. Use your experience to help us grow the OLAF course content!
